About Me

Hello there! I’m Lee, a Charleston-based animator, 3D modeler, and illustrator. I’m currently a student at Trident Tech in the animation program. When I am not creating, I can often be found exploring the woods or hanging out with my geckos.

My love of art and storytelling drove me to this path. I still remember waking up early on Saturdays to watch shows such as TMNT, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Pokémon, and Ben 10, among many others. I was fascinated with the art and design put into these shows and the fact that they all told drawn out stories.  Seing all the twists and turns that came from multiple episodes and later looking back to see smaller details hinting at the reveals hooked my attention, more so than episodic series.

Graphic novels felt like the next step. While I’ve always been an avid reader I have a stronger preference for visual storytelling. There’s something incredible about seeing exactly what the author envisioned, and I’ve always admired the consistency and unique style that certain artists bring to their work.  No two comics or graphic novels look the same and seeing all the different styles and even mediums used deepened my appreciation for it.

As I approach graduation, I’m excited to see what comes next. My time at Trident  has let me explore more than just animation and I’m eager to expand my skills across a variety of areas and mediums. At the same time, I’m looking forward to continuing my own creative projects along with hopefully getting a story published in the future. One series I’ve been working on since 2017 is something I’m particularly excited about and I look forward to debuting it in the next year or so.
